Carrie Is a Registered Massage Therapist, and has been practicing massage therapy in Regina since 1996. She was voted “Best Massage Therapist in Regina” by Prairie Dog Magazine in spring of 2009. She has taken numerous continuing educational courses, some of which include Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Thai Massage, Chi Nei Tsang, Craniosacral Therapy, Vibrational Sound Healing, Lomi Lomi (Hawaiian Massage), and Somatic Exercise Teacher Training from Serenity Somatics.
Her treatments incorporate different aspects of all her training, in a unique blend of soft tissue work that is quite firm, but not overly painful, and has been very effective with her clients.
In her free time, she enjoys playing her koto (Japanese floor harp), reading all sorts of books, and has studied a couple of different languages. She can speak Spanish (not fabulously, but functionally from university studies and from an exchange program to Mexico), a little German (again from university studies) and has attempted to learn Japanese with a private tutor to accompany her Koto studies. She enjoys travelling, and has had the opportunity to live in Kingston Jamaica for six months where she taught computers to children in a school for the blind and adults with the Jamaica Society for the Blind. She has studied Martial Arts in the past, Karate, Aikido and Ninjutsu, and really enjoyed them.
